Building a Home Studio on a budget!

So, you’ve caught the music production bug and are ready to set up your home studio, but the thought of burning a hole in your wallet is holding you back? Fear not! Setting up a home studio on a budget is totally achievable. With a little bit of savvy shopping and some insider tips, you’ll be laying down tracks without breaking the bank. Here’s a quick guide to help get you started. Remember you can start making music with a humble phone or tablet with programs such as Garage band so no excuses for not getting started. But this quick guide is aimed at anyone looking to take the first steps towards taking music production seriously. As with any venture worth venturing there is obviously going to be some investment needed, both money and time.

Choose the Right Space

First things first, you need to pick the right spot in your home. Ideally, this would be a quiet room with minimal external noise and decent acoustics. A carpeted room with some furniture usually works well, as it helps to reduce echo and reverb.

The Heart of Your Studio: The Computer

Your computer is the brain of your home studio. You don’t need the latest MacBook Pro to get started. A reliable PC or Mac with at least 8GB of RAM, an i5 processor (or equivalent), and decent storage will do the trick.
