BAG: Dying Light, first time playing

I never did get around to checking out the Dying Light series, so when a friend suggested grabbing a copy I thought why the hell not. A game full of zombies, weapon crafting and ability to not go alone with multiplayer (cos I am a pussy) the game sounded right up my street.

Grabbed a Bargain!

What an absolute result, as always I checked out what deals were on offer for the game on the Steam store and then compared them to the prices on CDkeys. This time round it was really worth the time checking, CDkeys came in for the win. Grabbed myself a copy of Dying light definitive edition and Dying Light 2 Ultimate edition for around £43, what a touch.

So armed with my copy of Dying Light and a companion hytop to guide me through the zombie invested wastelands it was time to load up the game and jump in.

The Prologue!

Wanting to jump straight in to multiplayer? forget about it, they force you to start the game alone and have to complete the Prologue before being able to unlock multiplayer options. To be honest it makes perfect sense as this ensures all players have a basic understanding of the games mechanics and controls before joining a game. Either way I streamed to The Button Addict Discord Server where Hytop was watching live and guiding me through the start of the adventure.

First Impressions

Loving the style of gameplay, loving the graphics and loving the company I have to play it through with. We played for around an hour whilst chatting etc before I had completed the Prologue but tbh it was a chilled social event more than serious gameplay so in reality it probably would have only take around 20mins.

I am really looking forward to getting more into Dying Light and going through what the series has to offer. Have enjoyed the experience so far and will be making related content that I will share as we go. See below for a few snippets of our stream of the prologue that really did make me laugh.

Massive shout to Hytop for his recommendation, there is gonna be hours of fun playing this game series. For me what makes it great is that where we don’t speak the same native language there is often confusion which leads to funny moments. Keep an eye out for more content as we progress through the game.
